Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Inpatient Rehab/Medical Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour day shifts Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Yes Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Strong communication skills, highly organized, teamwork, innovative problem-solving skills, compassion, inclusion, integrity, excellence, collaboration. Job Description: - Department: Inpatient Rehab - Beds: 35 - Nurse-to-patient ratios: Days: 1:5 / Nights: 1:6 - Required certifications: BLS, de-escalation training - Common diagnoses/types of patients: Adults and geriatrics, stroke, spinal cord injury, amputee, brain injury, critical illness, neurological disease such as MS and Parkinson's. - RNs are not required to titrate drips - Common drips: Antibiotics, anticoagulation, antiplatelets - Charge Nurse present on each shift - Nurse aides/patient care techs available with ratios of 1:10-15 - Shifts & scheduling: 0630-1900, 1830-0700 with cyclic self-scheduling - Weekend requirement: At least every 3rd weekend - Holiday requirement: At least 2 holidays - No call or standby requirement - Floating requirement: Will float to Medical Surgical - Orientation: Classroom orientation and two 12-hour shifts on the unit - Charting System: EPIC - Trauma Level: 2 - Care Setting: Acute Additional Notes: - Candidates should reside within a 50-mile radius and must not be employed full-time, part-time, or on a PRN basis with any associated facilities. - RTO needed upfront, with 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract. Additional RTO is not approved afterward. - Cancellations allowed up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
