  • A large system in Nebraska/Iowa is looking for Night PCU RN's. 2 years as an RN, 1 year of unit experience. The contract is for 13 weeks.
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 years as an RN, 1 year of unit experience.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts & Scheduling: 0630-1900, 1830-0700
      • Weekend Requirements: Every third with cyclic rotation
      • Holiday Requirements: Every third
      • No call or standby requirement
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes
        • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Cardizem, betablockers, seizure medications
        • Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Charge Nurse
        • Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: 1:10 or 2:20
        • How many shifts of unit/department-specific orientation?: First week is onboarding and then 1-2 days of orientation on the floor
          • Additional Details
          • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and geriatrics, Cardiac, nephrology, stokes, DM, continuous EEG monitoring
          • Attributes that will help a nurse be successful on this unit are a positive attitude, helping others, good communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to problem solve
          • Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidate may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
          • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
