Seeking an experienced travel nurse RN for the Pediatric Intensive
Care Unit (PICU) in Omaha, Nebraska. The role requires a minimum of
2 years of experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center and offers a
competitive weekly pay rate. Nurses will work 12-hour night shifts
in a mixed-acuity unit with specific float requirements and
mandatory credentials like BLS and PALS.

Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Omaha,
Nebraska.Job Description & Requirements

Float Requirements: May be required to float to adult care areas,
but only to perform tasks and Rover duties. A task nurse performs
to the degree they are comfortable, but at minimum, would be
expected to do simple tasks like bathing, assisting with turns,
assisting with vital signs, etc. RN would NOT take an assignment on
an adult unit.
This is a mixed-acuity unit - Ratios are 1:2 for PICU, 1:3 for PCU,
1:4 Acute - PICU RNs are expected to work across acuity
spectrum
24 bed unit
BLS, PALS required
ACLS preferred
2 years of experience required (must have 2 years of PICU
experience at a Level l Trauma Center)
First time travelers NOT accepted (unless they have 3+ years of
experience at a Level l Trauma Center - PICU)
Epic charting experience required
Locals Accepted: NO (candidate must be more than 100 miles from
facility)
Pending license accepted: Yes, but if license is not IN HAND at the
time of submission then traveler will be booked six weeks out.
RTO restrictions: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted. RTO must be
submitted with application. Additional requests after confirmation
at manager discretion.
100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITY
Scrubs: MANDATORY - RNs wear Steele gray scrubs
Parking: Professionals can obtain a parking permit (cost depends on
the lot, but is approx. $55/month) or they can use daily rate
