Planet Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska.

Medical Surgical/Telemetry 4/5 Lied - 4/5 Lied is a 20-bed general medical surgical and telemetry unit as well as ortho patients. Some of the patients you may care for on these units include Total Knee and Hip replacements, complicated orthopedic cases, pulmonary, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses.
Ratios are 1:5 days/1:6 nights. Depending on staffing, night ratios can be 1:7 (this is rare, but facility wants travelers to be aware).
***4/5 Lied is one unit split between two floors. The 5th floor may see ratios of 1:10 at night as it is used for complex discharges. with the support of care techs and other clinicians. These ratios have been cleared by regulatory based on the care needed.
Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN
2 years of prior Telemetry experience pref (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital)
First timers NOT accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level l Academic Medical Center)
EPIC charting experience required
Will float within scope to meet facility needs (this includes potentially floating to Bellevue campus)
100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITY
Locals Accepted: NO (candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility)
RTO must be submitted with application. Weekend Requirement: Two weekends in a four-week schedule period (Saturday/Sunday for day shift, Friday/Saturday for night shift).
MANDATORY - RNs wear Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back. Information on how to obtain Nebraska Medicine branded scrubs will be shared once traveler is confirmed. Facility also sells gray T-shirts that can be worn in their company store.
