per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job
Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Stepdown Nurse Job Duration:
13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Nights Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required to submit
Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic
Life Support (BLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
(NIHSS) Must-Have: Valid driver's license, positive attitude,
strong communication and critical thinking skills, problem-solving
ability Job Description: - Work in a 35-bed Progressive Care Unit
with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5. - Provide care for adult
and geriatric patients with conditions such as cardiac, nephrology,
strokes, diabetes mellitus, and those requiring continuous EEG
monitoring. - Administer and titrate drips including Cardizem,
beta-blockers, and seizure medications. - Collaborate with a Charge
Nurse who does not have a patient assignment. - Supervise nurse
aids/patient care techs with a ratio of 1:10 or 2:20. - Perform
shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM or 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, every third
weekend and cyclic holiday rotation required. - No on-call or
standby requirements, but floating to medical floors, ICU, or rehab
as needed. - Participate in an onboarding week followed by 1-2 days
of specific floor orientation. - Utilize EPIC as the charting
system in a Level 2 Trauma Acute Care setting. - Engage in a
fast-paced environment, emphasizing teamwork and supporting
colleagues. Please note that all requests for time off should be
submitted upfront, with a maximum of 7 days off per 13-week
