The Behavioral Health team is looking for an experienced full-time
Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician
Assistant to help us achieve our goal of providing excellent
healthcare to the underserved in our community.
The Psychiatric Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or
Physician Assistant (PA) works as part of a multi-disciplinary,
integrated healthcare team providing direct psychiatric and primary
care to patients. This includes diagnostic interviews, physical
examinations, diagnosis, treatment plans, medication management,
lab review, and/or referrals including hospitalization when
necessary. The Psychiatric APRN participates in the Medication
Assisted Therapy program for Opioid Use Disorder. OneWorld
Community Health Centers (OWCHC) model emphasizes co-management of
patients with primary care clinicians, but may also include
traditional longitudinal care by the Psychiatric APRN or PA.
This is a full-time position, located at our main LSX (Livestock
Exchange) Campus off of 30th and L street in Omaha, NE.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters Degree in Nursing Practice or Physician Assistant studies
required. Degree must be from an accredited school of nursing that
is recognized by the Board of Nursing, or from a program otherwise
designated for Nurse Practitioners that has been approved by the
State Board of Nursing.
Completion of additional accredited Psychiatric APRN or PA training
program required.
APRN or PA license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician
Assistant in the state of Nebraska required. (Or license
eligible.)
Must be licensed under state law to prescribe Schedule III, IV, or
V medications for pain and hold a Buprenorphine X waiver for Opioid
Use Disorder Treatment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Two or more years of clinical experience preferred.
Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office products required;
experience with an Electronic Health Record preferred.
Proficiency in English required; proficiency in Spanish preferred.
Demonstrated ability to speak enough Spanish to examine
Spanish-speaking patients and converse on a basic level strongly
preferred.
Demonstrated ability to relate with warmth and effectiveness to
culturally diverse patients as well as other OWCHC providers and
staff members.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to practice in an integrated
health care setting providing time-limited consultations in
collaboration with behavioral health and primary care providers, or
willingness to learn.
