Do you have a passion for fire safety and a knack for technical tasks?We're looking for a qualified Fire Alarm & Special Hazards Systems Technician to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to take a leading role in ensuring the safety of buildings and their occupants by installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing critical fire alarm and special hazard systems.Responsibilities:Independently perform installations, maintenance, inspections, and repairs of fire alarm and special hazard systems.Ensure all work adheres to industry standards and regulations.Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to accurately install systems.Maintain a safe and organized work environment.Conduct inspections and maintain fire extinguishers.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Experience in fire alarm, security, low voltage, and/or systems maintenance a plus. (We can train the right candidate!)NICET I Certification in Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Alarm Test & Inspect, or Special Hazards (or equivalent certification like ESA CAT L1) preferred. (We can train the right candidate!)Strong reading, writing, and math skills.Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively.Ability to work safely in various environments, including construction sites.Desired Skills:Experience using hand and power tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems effectively.Ability to make recommendations for system improvements.The Work Environment:This position requires working in various locations, including warehouses, offices, and construction sites.The work environment may involve exposure to temperature extremes, noise, moving machinery, dust, chemicals, and potential electrical hazards.The ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and working in different positions is essential.Ready to Make a Difference?If you're a skilled technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about fire safety, we encourage you to apply!
